Just in.. LIVE VIDEO from storm winds at 7300 m!
13:31 p.m. EDT May 5, 2003
Scott Woolums and his team were one of the few that got to experience this weekend’s furious weather in a high camp. Check out Scott’s incredible video of the disaster; tents ripped and climbers struggling to move through hurricane force winds. It is the most amazing fresh Everest video we have ever witnessed!

This was the dream we had when setting up Contact 2.0 and last night Scott made it come through. Not only did he save his camp and his climbers, he also documented the storm that is one of the worst ever on Everest.

All of the Everest area reports extensive damage to tents and camps. The question is how this storm will effect the progress of the climb. Teams now must replace entire camps just as it's time for the first summit attempts. Check the damage report in today's stories.
