More summit news from Cho Oyu: Alex Txicon and Igor Astondoa, team Amical

Himalaya is on fire today! News of summits and feverish attempts are swirling in to ExWeb with the speed of Hurricane Jeanne.
Here's today's second update:
Amical "Our Cho Oyu Expedition was successful last Friday. 3 members and our Tour guide Rainer Pircher reached the top at arround 7.00 am. They will leave BC on Wednesday.
Iñaki Ochoa is back in ABC after an attempt to summit Cho Oyu with the group he is guiding. The initial news were that the group had turned around, but now Inaki confirms that Alex and Igor continued to the top yesterday Sunday.
This is the third 8000+ peak for Alex, after Broad Peak and Makalu, and the first for Igor. Javier, Alex’s brother, headed back down.
As goes for the rest of the group, Iñaki Ochoa, Cristina Orofino, Oscar Fernández and Igor Iparraguirre turned back from Camp II during the weekend. Lady climbers Cristina Orofino and her sister Mertxe are not trying again, while the others could perhaps launch a new summit bid within the next days.
Climbers report that Inaki plans a fast summit attempt starting Midnight on 27-28 September from Lake/Half camp (~6000m), in one push. Already this season two people have climbed from the same spot in around 8-9 hours. In response Inaki said that he was climbing for himself and the record would be a bonus only, not the aim.
Navarrese climber Iñaki Ochoa is currently leading ‘a group of friends’ on Cho Oyu normal route. This year he summited Makalu in spring and K2 in summer. Before that, he reached the summit of Cho Oyu twice (1993 and 2001), GI (1996), GII (1996), Lhotse (1999), Everest (2001), Nanga Parbat (2003) and Broad Peak (2003). He has also summited Shisha Pangma Central (1995).
