Live from Ama Dablam - leaving on a jet plane
Nov 9, 2004 09: 39 EST
They had an awesome expedition this year, and here are their final words:
Outward Bound
"How does that old song go? All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go, I'm standin here, outside your door, I hate to wake you up to say goodbye. I'm leavin, on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again...
Summit party
Well, that's us! Packing, cleaning, while reflecting on goals set and attained, nursing a headache or two from the fantastic final party here at basecamp last night with the Sherpas, and drinking coffee, listening to music, and really trying to enjoy our last few days together up here in the high Himalaya.
Life goes on as it should
Activity continues up on the mountain, with teams summitting, and others turning back for various reasons. Life goes on as it should, day by day. We would like to thank all of you back home for following along on our journey as we toiled up and down the hill. The support and encouragement was felt all the way up!
So till next time, this is Paul, Mark, Luis and the 2004 Ama Dablam Adventure Consultants team, signing off....
