Live Video from Everest Camp IV, 7900m
02:05 a.m. EDT May 24, 2003
This year there has been unprecedented video coverage of Everest. MountEverest.net has featured footage sent from the trek, base camp, camp II, camp III during the huge storm, and yesterday we received a clip from the live video transmitted to European television direct from the summit.

The last piece of the puzzle was just sent through from the Adventure Consultants team, Camp IV, 7900m. Bill Crouse and his team reached the South Summit, but decided to turn around because of fierce winds. They are all very happy with the decision they made, as they have heard about frostbite and other epic stories. So yesterday they packed up Camp IV and headed down to Camp II, 6450m, but not without sending some fresh video from Camp IV. The Adventure Consultants team have set the Contact 2.0 altitude record for video sent with a PDA. Check out the clip for yesterday’s cloudless view from the South Col.
