Everest daily wrap up: Quick recap and outlook
May 19, 2004 18: 22 EST
The Russian North Face team has reached 8400m on the new route. The mBank Annapurna team is on a summit push from Camp 2. Three more Everest North summits were announced this morning. And Wilco the Dutch Paraglider is making his summitpush right now.
Everest Weather
The tropical storm will continue to usher in the moisture and shower threats for the Everest area. Long term forecasts indicate an approaching upper level jet starting around mid week next week. Confidence in the timing is low, but there is a possibility winds could increase mid to late next week. Models have different solutions for next week.
