Everest, Shisha and Cho Oyu daily Wrap-up: A quiet weekend expected

Teams expect a calm weekend, hanging out in BC, and getting used to altitude. They'll do short trips up and down the mountain and get ready for their first nights spent in higher camps. Yesterday the weather was still nice: A perfect day for Jean Pavilliard to celebrate his birthday.
Weather:
A ridge stretching from Afganistan to Kashmir with mostly dry weather. A trough over Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal will move southwards giving rain and showers over the ME-area. But from Sunday the ridge will move eastward to ME giving dry weather in the ME-area.
No jet in the ME-area. But north of Me in Uzbekistan and China there is a jet from west to east.
Summit:
9000 m: Northwest about 10 m/s. From Saturday decreasing to 5- 10 m/s.
7500 m: North- northwest about 10 m/s. From Sunday decreasing to 5 m/s and turning to north.
Monsoon:
No withdrawal of Monsoon is expected yet.
Everest North:
Climbers are resting in BC.
Cho Oyu:
Alpine Ascents "This morning a report comes from the Alpine Ascents office. The team called in to the office at about 8:00pm Nepal Time. They were all getting ready to go to bed after a great acclimatization hike up past the ice fall today. They all are feeling great, have returned to Camp I for another night of sleeping up high. They will be returning to ABC tomorrow and will send another cybercast from there. The team wished their best to everyone watching and will be in contact soon.”
Jean Pavillard Happy birthday, Jean! The mountain guide writes from Cho Oyu BC: “Today we hiked to lake camp at 6050 m just below camp1 where I celebrated my birthday. Thanks to Mary, Madeleine, Francesca for their love. I am blessed to be amongst these beautiful mountains from which i draw so much energy.”
Reus 8000team-members are in Chinese Base camp (4975m.). Climbers plan to stay there and acclimatize for a couple of days. Sunday they’ll trek up to the ‘real’ base camp, at 5700m.
Bergans Big Mountain Ski Expedition News expected soon from Cho Oyu BC.
Shisha Pangma: :
Ecuadorian climber Ivan Vallejo Reached Kodary, on the Chinese frontier, Tuesday. Along with Spanish climbing partner Santiago Sagaste, they are attempting Shisha’s SW face via the British route in alpine style.
Fredrik Ericsson The Swedish climber and skier is on his way to Shisha Pangma BC, in Tibet.
Osona-Maresme Catalonian team Reached Chinese Base Camp Wednesday. Juan Carlos Vizcaino and Josep María Moya, also Catalans attempting Shisha Pangma, are landing in Khatmandu today.
