The South Africans report in their latest dispatch that the South Side Indian Army team has decided to go down and abort their summit attempt. The South Africans have not decided yet whether to continue or abort.

Charlie Wittmack, who was in Camp II, 6800m, has decided to abort his summit attempt too and head down to base camp.

The most recent ExplorersWeb weather reports have forecasted high summit winds for the next couple of days - 25-35 m/s. 17 m/s is considered storm force and hurricane force is above 32 m/s.
