As the survivor show struggles for their push, Everest continues its own eliminations
15:51 p.m. EDT May 27, 2003
Outdoor Life Network has just announced that Chris Warner, the Global Extreme’s expedition leader has suffered a possible concussion. This occurred during his involvement with last week’s rescue effort for a climber on another expedition. Cameraman Mark Whetu, who has already summited Everest twice will now be leading the expedition.

As the Survivor show struggles for their push, Everest has continued its own eliminations. One of the contestants, Petit Pinson, from California has decided not to continue with the team. Only two of the initial five contestants will be going for the summit – Ted Mahon and Jesse Rickert; both are from Colorado.

The team now plans to go for a possible summit attempt on either the 30th or 31st, weather permitting.

The only woman from the Global Extremes show to summit this year, is Tryntje Young, who was eliminated from the show previous to Everest and climbed on her own, in another expedition. More on her summit experience later today.
